Hair Loss - Drug Prices Comparison

If you are taking or are planning on taking Propecia or Rogaine for hair loss, it is worth looking around for the best prices. Propecia in particular is very expensive and there are some significant price differences between pharmacies. Below we have research prices for both drugs at various online pharmacies. Not only do the prices for these drugs vary from pharmacy to pharmacy, but to confuse things the quantity of the drugs per bottle vary. To make the price comparison even, we are comparing the price per pill.

We are not an online pharmacy and have no ability to take orders for prescriptions drugs. We only link customers to licensed pharmacies in the United States and/or licensed pharmacies in Canada.

Online Pharmacies

Propecia (1mg)
(price per pill)

Rogaine (2%)
(price per 60ml)

Minoxidil 2%
(price per 60ml)

Drugstore.com $1.67 $26.99 $14.99
Wallgreens.com $1.91 $24.99 $16.00
Canadadrug.com $1.36 $26.49 $23.31

You need to remember that the prices above do not include shipping. In some cases, the shipping cost will make it more expensive than buying it from your local pharmacy. Some drug stores will offer cheaper bulk prices than others. The prices quoted above are not for bulk orders. For Propecia, we were looking at 28-35 pill containers and for Rogaine and Minoxidil we were looking at 60ml bottles.

Buying drugs from a Mexican pharmacy is not a good idea, since there is no government oversight. The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law.
