Beach Resort Honeymoons

Suva, Fiji
If you are looking for a remote isalnd with warm water & perfect sand for your honeymoon, Fiji is your place. It's a small country with plenty of luxury resorts and ideal conditions for snorkling and scuba diving. The downside is that it can be very expensive. A much cheaper option is to do a honeymoon cruise around Fiji, Tahiti and Bora Bora, where you live on the boat, but still experience the islands.

Los Cabos, Mexico
Los Cabos at the bottom tip of Baja California is an amazingly remote place to visit given it's proximity to the US. The most beautiful and romantic place to stay is Las Ventanas. It's expensive, but this place will make your honeymoon very memorable. Outside of the resort, you will find some romantic and deserted beaches up the coast.

Hawaii, USA
For a magical honeymoon experience, with volcanoes, lush vegetation, and warm waters, Hawaii might just be the perfect destination. The Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii is one of the more sophisticated resorts with everything you might want in one place. The very exclusive Four Season's Resort is also nearby (on the same side of Hawaii) and perfect for couples.

Patagonia, Chile
Patagonia is simply one of the most naturally beautiful places on the planet. It's not a beach vacation, but it can be as relaxing and breath taking as any beach resort. The best place to stay for your honeymoon and really relax is Explora Lodge. It's a little expensive, but well worth it when you consider that it's all-inclusive.

Bali, Indonesia
Bali is also an astonishingly beautiful place. The Oberoi resort on Legian Beach in Seminyak is perfect of a honeymoon. We would also recommend staying in at any of the luxury resorts in Ubud. You will find most of the hotel and resort rates relatively inexpensive, but it will be everything you expect in a luxury honeymoon vacation.

Lamu, Kenya
Lamu is a tiny island on the Indian Ocean north of Mombasa, Kenya with a small rustic town on one side and a very secluded and a very luxurious resort on the other end called Kipungani. The only way to get to the resort is by boat, even from the town of Lamu on the other side. If you have time, you could fly into one of the game parks for a three day safari before or after Lamu. More info on Safari Honeymoons.

We would recommend finding all-inclusive resorts for your honeymoon. Even though finding a regular resort or hotel might seem cheaper up front, it will be very stressful during your honeymoon to be paying for all the extras. Good food in a romantic setting is always expensive when you travel and a stress you can avoid in your honeymoon. Plus in the end the all-inclusive package will usually be cheaper.
