USB Phone Adapters

Another very good phone option for your Skype or broadband phone connection is to buy a USB adapter that allows you to connect your regular phone into your computer. Basically, it takes the USB connection and turns it into a regular phone jack. From there you can plug in your kitchen phone or your cordless phone and use it as if it where your regular phone.

Some USB phones give you some additional funtionality that you would not be able to get from your regular phone with an adapter. For example, with a USB phone, you can scroll through the names in your Skype directory and then just click "talk" to connect. This includes not only people with regular phone numbers, but people with Skype connection. That means you can select to call someone on their computer and pay nothing for the call, since it's a computer to computer call.
